Hey Travelers!
It’s been a little while since our last update! I’m glad to share with you all that Holomento is making great progress since we were successfully funded on Kickstarter!
Below is a quick update on what we’ve been doing over the past few months:
- We hired a 3D character artist and a 3D animator! (Thank you to everyone that applied!)
- Our artists have completed several new models for travelers and NPCs
- Our audio team has developed several new (unreleased) tracks and expanded on the in-game audio systems
- We released several major Alpha updates [0.4.21 – Latest Patch Notes]
- We are currently working on another (unreleased) major Alpha update
- We updated our social media presence across Twitter, Reddit and Discord (frequent updates are shared across these platforms so do check them out!)
- We developed and released (on Discord) dozens of new concepts for enemies and NPCs
- We are working with our publisher on several top-secret Holomento partnerships + projects… so stay tuned!
In addition to all of these updates, there is one more announcement that I’m very excited to share that has been over a year in the making…
Holomento has been selected to receive an Epic MegaGrant from Epic Games!
If you’re wondering what an Epic MegaGrant is, you can learn more from the Epic Games’ official website here. In short, we have been chosen by Epic to receive funds to develop Holomento into the very best it can be! These funds will be used similarly to the funds received from Kickstarter – they will pay our artists, composer, audio engineer and will help purchase miscellaneous assets.
Thanks for reading today’s quick update! For the latest information on development, please follow/join the Holomento Twitter and/or join the Holomento Subreddit and Holomento Discord one of the aforementioned social media channels!
Thank you everyone,
Sean
